Prerequisite(s): PHYS 34200 FOR LEVEL UG WITH MIN. GRADE OF C- Course Learning Outcomes 1. Understand how statistical physics is used to determine macroscopic parameters based on microscopic effects. 2. Describe the meaning of entropy and temperature, and their role in understanding this aspect of physics. 3. Use ideas and formulae associated with thermal physics to solve problems.
