Experiential learning undergraduate research course in physics directed and mentored by physics faculty during student’s penultimate semester. Background preparation, specialized training, and identification of a final research project. Submission of a formal research proposal and initial work towards completion. Permission of instructor required. Typically offered Fall. Experiential Learning (EXL): Yes Course Learning Outcomes 1. Students will be expected to have gained mastery of any requisite physics not explicitly covered in other coursework and competence using any specialized equipment. 2.
