Leadership For Organizational Change

This course introduces students to the principles and practices of leading organizational change. Students will learn how to assess readiness for change, design strategic change initiatives, and implement them effectively across a variety of contexts. Topics include change management frameworks, stakeholder engagement, motivation and resistance, ethical challenges, and sustaining long-term change. Through a mix of cases, simulations, and team-based projects, students will gain experience applying change leadership strategies in real-world settings. Prerequisite(s): (OLS 27400 FOR LEVEL UG WITH MIN. GRADE OF C OR OLS 37600 FOR LEVEL UG WITH MIN. GRADE OF C) Course Learning Outcomes 1. Analyze an organization’s culture and readiness for change, using diagnostic tools and frameworks. 2. Apply evidence-based models of change leadership to design effective change initiatives. 3. Evaluate the role of motivation and influence tactics in driving employee commitment and overcoming resistance to change. 4. Identify ethical challenges in organizational change efforts and propose responsible leadership strategies. 5. Develop a strategic plan for organizational change that includes stakeholder engagement, communication, and sustainability tactics. View Class Schedule
