This course explores a wide range of environmental health and safety topics relevant to technologists, engineers, and managers in both public and private sectors. Emphasis is placed on an understanding of identification, evaluation, and control of various hazards which could harm people, property, and the environment by using risk assessment. Instructor permission required. Typically offered Fall Spring. Course Learning Outcomes 1. Discuss history and rationale behind EHS discipline. 2. Recognize and describe various EHS related standards and regulations relevant to engineering technologies. 3.
