to 4.00. The best leaders are effective communicators and negotiators. They know how to use all the levers at their disposal to engage, inform, persuade, inspire, and instill confidence in key stakeholders. They look at each interaction as an opportunity to advance their agenda and/or achieve a specific outcome. This course will examine key internal and external engagement moments through your lens as an individual leader. Students will learn how to map communications best practices to real-world scenarios and make use of frameworks and guidance that will improve their ability to effectively use communications to help teams/organizations navigate issues. Students will also dissect the nature of negotiations, understand frameworks for building strategies for effective negotiations and explores the nature of conflict and conflict resolution. Course Learning Outcomes 1. Demonstrate communication skills for influence & communication competence. 2. Identify the primary components of the negotiation process. 3. Analyze your own and others’ strengths and weaknesses in negotiation. 4. Map communications best practices to real-world scenarios and make use of frameworks and guidance to effectively use communications to help teams/organizations navigate issues. View Class Schedule
