Catalog description

This course is the first of a two-part series that provides the opportunity to continue to develop, implement and evaluate an evidence-based inquiry project. Students gain competence in activities aimed at improving healthcare practice and systems, evaluating outcomes, translating evidence into practice, and participating in interdisciplinary and collaborative knowledge translation activities. Permission of department required. Typically offered Fall Spring Summer. Prerequisite(s): NUR 67700 FOR LEVEL GR WITH MIN. GRADE OF D- Course Learning Outcomes 1. Initiate a specific plan to translate evidence into practice that integrates best available evidence, implementation models and strategies and is congruent with the context, stakeholder and diagnostic analyses. 2. Finalize, with stakeholder input, outcomes that are appropriate to measure practice and cost effectiveness of the knowledge translation project. 3. Engage stakeholders in the process of implementing and sustaining the knowledge translation project. View Class Schedule
