Integrative Clinical Core Concepts For Advanced Nursing Specialties

Catalog description

This course is designed for DNP students who are not practicing in an APRN role. The course integrates advanced concepts of pathophysiology, pharmacology, and health assessment within the contexts of individual, family, populations, and health systems. Students develop the necessary advanced understanding of disease pathophysiology, physical assessment, and pharmacology for practice in a nurse executive, nurse educator, nurse informaticist, or nurse policy specialty. Course Learning Outcomes 1. Integrate nursing, related sciences, and social determinants of health into the delivery of advanced nursing care to diverse populations. (Aligned to program outcomes 1 & 2) 2. Incorporate current and emerging genetic/genomic evidence to design or provide advanced nursing care to individuals, families, and communities.
