Catalog description

This course advances the student’s understanding of the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) role as outlined by the AACN Essentials for DNP Education and NONPF competencies. It emphasizes the DNP’s role in evidence-based practice, interprofessional collaboration, organizational leadership, systems thinking, quality improvement, and change management. Students will explore healthcare transformation through economic, social, organizational, political, ethical, legal, and technological lenses, with a focus on person-centered care, health equity, and cost-effectiveness across diverse populations. Prerequisite(s): NUR 62201 FOR LEVEL GR WITH MIN. GRADE OF D- Course Learning Outcomes 1.
