Catalog description

This course equips students with advanced skills to conduct comprehensive, evidence-based health assessments across diverse populations. Students will enhance their ability to synthesize complex health data, utilizing advanced technology and informatics while adhering to ethical standards. The course emphasizes the integration of theoretical knowledge with practical application, fostering the development of culturally sensitive, cost-effective care plans, considering social determinants of health. Students will learn to perform health risk assessments, incorporating interprofessional perspectives to address health disparities. Through critical analysis and interpretation of assessment findings, students will refine their diagnostic reasoning and clinical decision-making skills. The course culminates in the evaluation and dissemination of advanced assessment strategies, preparing students to lead in improving healthcare outcomes.
