Catalog description

This course examines the integration of theory/conceptual relationships in the development of nursing knowledge. Students explore ways in which nurses in advanced practice incorporate theoretical knowledge in the implementation of the advanced practice in nursing role. Students analyze the clinical relevance of mid-range and practice theories. Students examine the relationship of theoretical constructs to research and praxis through concept analysis, theory evaluation, and discussion of the application of theory to practice. This course examines ways in which theoretical thought is embedded in evidence-based nursing practice. Typically offered Fall Spring Summer. Prerequisite(s): NUR 50100 FOR LEVEL GR WITH MIN.
