to 4.00. Examination of the process of asset valuation. Emphasis on portfolio analysis, security selection, risk-return relationships, and performance evaluation. Additional topics considered include security analysis, option pricing and analysis, futures contracts, and security market operations. Typically offered Spring Fall. Course Learning Outcomes 1. Develop a sound foundation for the main concepts in investment management and portfolio theory. 2. Understand how stock, bond, and option prices are determined. 3. Learn the analytical tools and financial theory necessary to understand how financial assets are used for investment decisions. 4. Take a critical look at the process of investing and relate the topics covered to current real-world problems relevant to practitioners. 5.
