Catalog description

A capstone course in Fraud Investigation. The course covers major fraud case investigation, with an emphasis on forensic and litigation support aspects. Typically offered Fall Spring Summer. Prerequisite(s): MGMT 60000 FOR LEVEL GR WITH MIN. GRADE OF B Course Learning Outcomes 1. Provide students with knowledge of the field so that the student knows and can apply relevant philosophies related to the substantive areas of Criminal Justice. Students will be expected to recognize the fundamentals of civil procedure and due process in the investigative process and beyond. 2. Students will develop written communication skills in this specialized field and demonstrate the synthesis of theory and practice. 3. Students will gain critical thinking skills and should be able to apply the basic research methods used in criminal justice, as well as understand the relationship between academic knowledge and the practical application of that knowledge to the field.
