Catalog description

This advanced taxation course introduces topics of primary interest to management and discrete tax professionals including payroll tax, sales tax, use tax, property tax, occupancy tax, and unclaimed property. The course approach is through the perspective of a new business exploring administrative, compliance, and common issues for each subject area conducted through hands-on case studies procured from actual client work. Typically offered Fall Spring Summer. Course Learning Outcomes 1. Apply critical thinking in learning the rules, procedures, and application of specialty taxes from a business management perspective.
