An advanced course in federal income taxation, with an in-depth study of corporations and partnerships. Additional topics will include professional responsibility, tax planning, and basic tax research. Typically offered Fall. Prerequisite(s): MGMT 40400 FOR LEVEL UG WITH MIN. GRADE OF B Course Learning Outcomes 1. Students will demonstrate an understanding of the tax law governing formation and operation of corporations and partnerships. 2. Students will compare the tax attributes of flow-through entities and taxable entities. 3. Students will demonstrate basic skills in issue identification and tax research. 4. Students will evaluate alternative treatments for tax planning purposes. 5. Students will use professional standards to evaluate tax practice and ethical issues. View Class Schedule
