to 2.00. The primary objective of this course is to provide a broad overview of financial accounting. The four basic financial statements are discussed which include balance sheet, income statement, statement of retained earnings, and statement of cash flows. The components that make up each statement will also be covered to include assets, liabilities, owner’s equity, revenue and expenses. Upon completion of this course, students will have an understanding of the fundamental accounting concepts and how financial information is used by various internal and external decision makers. Typically offered Fall Spring Summer. Course Learning Outcomes 1. Discuss purpose of each of the four financial statements. 2.
