Catalog description

An introduction to three-dimensional parametric solid modeling, using industrial CAD software. Basic modeling features, assembly modeling, surface modeling, and generating drawings from models are covered. Typically offered Spring. Prerequisite(s): MET 10000 FOR LEVEL UG WITH MIN. GRADE OF D- Course Learning Outcomes 1. Develop ability to think in a critical manner. ABET PO – (a) 2. Develop problem solving skills that will work for any engineering course. ABET PO – (b) 3. Become proficient in using SolidWorks and inventor solid modeling software programs. ABET PO – (a) 4. Design and detail mechanical systems using solid modeling.
