Catalog description

This course is an introduction to technical graphics and computer-aided design. Students will prepare for and take the Certified Solidworks Associate exam as part of this course. The course includes sketching, production drawing, and a significant amount of hands-on experience on a CAD system. The production drawing portion covers topics like multi-view drawings, section views, auxiliary views, and dimensioning. General Education: Technology Course Learning Outcomes 1. Learn the principles of sketching and feature modeling using Solidworks. 2. Develop design skills in bottom-up assembly. 3. Detail drawings for components and assemblies using Solidworks.
