Catalog description

This course will cover various topics in solar engineering system, including solar radiation, flat plate collector, concentrating collectors, solar system for heating/cooling, solar desalination and photovoltaic system. A PV system designing software (PVsyst) will be introduced for the final project. Permission of instructor required. Prerequisite(s): ME 31600 FOR LEVEL UG WITH MIN. GRADE OF C OR ME 31600 FOR LEVEL GR WITH MIN. GRADE OF C Course Learning Outcomes 1. Understand and apply the concepts and fundamentals in solar energy. 2. Identify and analyze different solar energy engineering systems. 3. Apply learned knowledge and skills in solving solar engineering-related problems. 4.
