(ECE 50300) Numerical methods, solutions of equations of one variable, interpolation and polynomial approximation, numerical integration and differentiation, numerical solution of initial-value problems, solution of linear systems, iterative methods for solving linear systems, approximation theory, approximating eigenvalues, solutions of systems of nonlinear equations, boundary-value problems for ordinary differential equations, numerical methods for partial-differential equations. Typically offered Fall Spring Summer. Course Learning Outcomes 1. Solve equations of one variable. 2. Apply interpolation and polynomial approximation. 3. Integrate and differentiate numerically. 4.
