Catalog description

A consideration of major issues affecting humankind from the perspective of our total experience, with an emphasis on the historical unfolding of those issues and great thinkers’ answers to them from Antiquity to the Renaissance. Focus includes discussions of moral decision-making, political systems, aesthetics, religion and spirituality, reality, knowledge, human nature and the meaning of life. Open to all students with junior, senior or graduate standing. Typically offered Fall, Spring and Summer. View Class Schedule
