This course covers software security goals, threats and threat modeling, software design principles, fundamental programming security (input validation, expression and numeric types and operations), object oriented software design and security, network and concurrency software programming and security, platform security. Permission of department required. Typically offered Fall Spring Summer. Course Learning Outcomes 1. Analyze cybersecurity goals and its relationship with the software development. 2. Analyze vulnerabilities and threats for software programs. 3. Evaluate the relationship between software threats, vulnerabilities, attacks, and remediation 4. Analyze fundamental software programming with vulnerabilities, threats, and countermeasures. 5. Analyze object oriented software design vulnerabilities, threats, and countermeasures. 6.
