This course covers database query languages, information management concepts and fundamentals, data organization, data modeling, managing the database environment, special-purpose databases, and other topics. Typically offered Fall. Prerequisite(s): ITS 24000 FOR LEVEL UG WITH MIN. GRADE OF C Course Learning Outcomes 1. Define database terms, as identified in the text and from instructor-supplied handouts. 2. Describe the process (normalization) for designing databases/tables. 3. Construct Entity-Relationship (ER) diagrams to illustrate database modeling and design principles effectively. 4. Demonstrate how to develop relations between tables. 5. Demonstrate how to create and run queries, forms, and reports through lab assignments. 6. Demonstrate how to view, insert, update, and delete data records. 7.
