Issues of aging are explored to understand aging in the modern society. Processes of aging and aging stages of life are identified. Typically offered Fall Spring Summer. Course Learning Outcomes 1. Explain concepts of growth and development as they relate to older adults. 2. Describe changes in individuals related to their physical, psychologyical, and spiritual development. 3. Describe patterns of family and social development in later life. 4. Explain cultural, societal, and environmental influences on the older individual’s growth and development. 5. Discuss how responses to selected health concerns and loss affect gowth and development. 6.
