Catalog description

A presentation of the importance of occupational safety and health and essential knowledge for workers or professionals in a variety of professions including health care. Special emphasis is placed on an understanding of the economic, legal, and social factors that are critical in providing a safe and healthy work environment. The course presents information on the fundamentals of safety standards and liability and the importance of compliance with federal and state regulations.
