The course will introduce students to the biology of blood including blood formation, circulatory system, cell types, normal and disease states, measurement of hematological parameters, and screening for and identification of coagulopathies, platelet function, therapeutic anticoagulation mechanisms. Course Learning Outcomes 1. Understand basic biology of blood. 2. Perform testing procedures and properly handle specimen and equipment. 3.
