Catalog description

Required for students who are admitted to the Honors College after their freshman year. Topics include undergraduate research and academic and career planning, as well as Honors College requirements. Typically offered Fall Spring. Course Learning Outcomes 1. Identify their own learning goals and values and map a path toward academic achievement and personal fulfillment; identify university and community resources to support them. 2. Make progress toward becoming an independent and critical thinker, demonstrating the ability to use knowledge and logic when discussing an issue or an idea, while considering the consequences of their idea, for themselves, for others, and for society. 3. Investigate how scholars think about problems, formulate hypotheses, research those problems, and draw conclusions about them. 4. Enhance ability to analyze and synthesize a broad range of material.
