Catalog description

The second half of a two-semester chronological sequence based on reading and discussing primary source materials and documents drawn from Political Science, Economics, History, Sociology, Psychology, and philosophy. This course is designed to familiarize students with the major ideas and ideals which have shaped world civilization. Major themes of this course are Liberty, Human Nature, and The Individual and Society. Not open to students with credit in POL 38800 or PHIL 38900. Typically offered Fall Spring Summer.
