Open only to Early Childhood Development majors. Course will include all aspects of classroom planning, work with larger groups, documentation and observational assessment, and portfolio development. Typically offered Fall Spring Summer. Prerequisite(s): HDFS 21600 FOR LEVEL UG WITH MIN. GRADE OF C- AND HDFS 31500 FOR LEVEL UG WITH MIN. GRADE OF C- AND HDFS 34101 FOR LEVEL UG WITH MIN. GRADE OF C- Experiential Learning (EXL): Yes Course Learning Outcomes 1. Design and implement Developmentally Appropriate, Culturally Sensitive plans that support groups and/or individual children, and to assess their progress. 2. Share ideas and information with others in ways that value family culture and strength. 3. Be observant and reflective about personal encounters with colleagues, children and their families. 4. Advocate for children and their families in coordination with site policies and procedures. 5.
