Catalog description

This course will develop critical thinking skills in relation to world cultures through the study of significant foreign-language films. It will introduce students to basic film terminology in order to discuss, explore, and analyze questions of race, class, gender, nationality, and sexuality as they relate to the different worldviews presented in each movie. Typically offered in Summer, Fall, and Spring. General Education: First Year Experience Course Learning Outcomes 1. Demonstrate effective communication skills in English. 2. Demonstrate effective computer utilization skills. 3. Demonstrate an understanding of various cultures and their interrelationships. 4.
