This course is for those interested in launching their own business. The course will focus on tying together all of the students’ entrepreneurship education to date, including finance, marketing, management and operations, business planning, and many more core business classes so that students will be ready to launch their company before the end of the class. Permission of Department required. Typically offered Spring. Course Learning Outcomes 1. Understand the path you are about to travel. 2. Develop and test the student’s business idea (business plan). 3. Understand the student’s chosen market (analyze the industry and market). 4. Identify and explain the various forms of business and which one is most appropriate for the student. 5. Understand how to incorporate a business with the Secretary of State and IRS. 6.
