A continuation of ENGL 35500, this course surveys major works of fiction, poetry, drama, and non-fiction from the 1940s and 1950s, through the Black Arts Era of the 1960s and 1970s, and up to the present. Readings will be explored, when appropriate, with attention to the influence of folklore and music. Typically offered Spring Summer. Course Learning Outcomes 1.
