Transnational Feminist Perspectives In International Literature And Film

Course uses anti-racist, transnational feminist perspectives and intersectional analysis to examine international film and literature (in translation and Anglophone). Special attention is paid to the influence of cross-cultural exchange, local and global interfaces, and Western traditions and challenges to them as well as representations of social locations, such as gender, race and ethnicity, class, religion, and sexuality. Introduce students to transnational feminist and critical race theories and methods of analysis. 2. Foster students’ skills in intersectional perspectives and analysis vis a vis international film and literature. 3. Examine cross-cultural exchange and local and global interfaces in relation to international film and literature. 4.
