Surveys authors, periods, and themes of British literature from the late eighteenth century through the modern period. The course may also treat significant minor writers in their relation to literary movements and ideas. Typically offered Spring. Prerequisite(s): ENGL 10400 FOR LEVEL UG WITH MIN. GRADE OF C- General Education: Humanities Course Learning Outcomes 1. Demonstrate knowledge of a range of genres, topics, and literary conventions from the Romantic period on. 2. Discuss those genres, topics, and conventions in relation to their diverse historical, cultural, and aesthetic contexts. 3.
