Catalog description
This is an advanced reading course that focuses on skills and strategies for effective academic reading. Students at this level are expected to read extensively, both inside and outside the classroom, in order to improve and refine their reading skills. Students practice a number of reading strategies for reading faster and understanding vocabulary in context. Discussion and small group work follow reading selections to help develop critical reading and thinking skills. Typically offered Summer Fall Spring.
