Catalog description

This is a course that focuses on skills and strategies for effective reading at a basic level. Students at this level are expected to read both inside and outside the classroom in order to improve and refine their reading skills. Students will practice a number of reading strategies for reading faster, understanding vocabulary in context and will practice using strategic reading skills. Discussion and small group work follow reading selections to help develop critical reading and thinking skills. Typically offered Summer Fall Spring. View Class Schedule
