to 4.00. This seminar is for doctoral students in special education. Its purpose is to contribute to the development of student’s professional competencies, including conducting and writing scholarly research, grant writing, university-level teaching, and professional engagement. To facilitate this growth each seminar will culminate in a scholarly product related to the seminar’s focus. Course Learning Outcomes 1. Formulate clear and concise research questions and generate one idea for a research project. 2. Develop a comprehensive research plan for their ideas based on a review of the literature. 3. Produce a detailed research project proposal or carry out a research project that aligns with their own research interests. 4. Apply their knowledge in evidence-based practice and lead a session on academic intervention (e.g., reading, math, science, social studies) to effectively support students with diverse needs.
