This course will examine opioid pharmacology and its physical and psychological effects. Course Learning Outcomes 1. Understand the intricacies of opioid addiction. 2. Apply the disease model and etiology of opioid addiction. 3. Appraise, recognize, and analyze the physiology and neurobiology of opioid actions in the brain and body. 4. Explain the psychopharmacology of opioid use. 5. Compare the different opioid deliveries and risks. 6. Demonstrate the ability to conduct an opioid screening. 7.
