Catalog description

This course provides an introduction to the instruments and procedures for identifying gifted, creative, and talented students, as well as the issues and procedures for evaluating gifted programs and individual student progress. Typically offered Fall Spring Summer. Course Learning Outcomes 1. Demonstrate skills in assessing the evaluability of a gifted program. 2. Develop an evaluation plan that reflects understanding of key issues in gifted program evaluation. 3. Develop a figted program evaluation plan that demonstrates a utilization focus. 4. Demonstrate scholarly behaviors in exploring an interest linked to course content. 5. Analyze key issues in selecting a student for gifted program participation and monitoring growth.
