Catalog description

Development of an understanding of the DSM-V-TR, diagnosis, and treatment planning. Permission of Department required. Typically offered Fall Spring Summer. Course Learning Outcomes 1. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the diagnostic categories described in the DSM-V-TR. 2. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of cultural, gender, socioeconomic, ethnic, ethical and legal issues that relate to the process of diagnosis. 3. Demonstrate the ability to use the multi-axial evaluation diagnostic system. 4. Demonstrate knowledge of factors that contribute to, or interfere with, accurate assessment and diagnosis. 5. Demonstrate knowledge of best treatment practices for the DSM-V-TR disorders. View Class Schedule
