Expressive Arts Professional Project: Healing Through The Arts

This capstone professional project is an opportunity to work with clients from a particular mentally ill population, define a treatment issue within that population, and use an original art therapy approach based in integrated theories as a treatment option for the defined issue. The general objective of this course is to develop the candidate’s ability to find innovative solutions to problems that arise among clients in the practice of counseling through an understanding of the creative process and through enhanced professional creative expression.
