(EDST 61000) A comprehensive approach to supervision and instruction that develops the knowledge, interpersonal, and leadership skills, which are then applied in a school setting for the purpose of instructional improvement. Models of supervision, leadership and evaluation will be examined to gain knowledge in order to apply effective strategies for diverse situations. The study of transformational change in today’s schools will guide leadership knowledge to the task of direct assistance, collegiality, collaboration, culture of trust, professional development, dialectic inquiry, curriculum development and action research.
