Involves the design, development, and editing of digitally-based materials for use in computer-based learning environments. Includes planning and implementing text, graphics, audio, and video materials for use as communication and learning tools. Typically offered Fall Spring Summer. Course Learning Outcomes 1. Analyze the characteristics of commonly used media and technologies for teaching and learning. 2. Select, utilize, and evaluate media and technologies for use in education and training in face-to-face, mediated instruction, and distance learning contexts. 3. Design media for use in education or training using systematic instructional design practices and media utilization principles. 4. Use digital tools to create media for use in education and training.
