Explores aspects of child development and its relevance to literacy, including early and middle childhood developmental influences. This course examines methods and materials appropriate for grades 3-6. Topics will include the instruction and assessment of students. Typically offered Fall Spring Summer. Students will be able to understand principles of middle childhood literacy and apply that knowledge through planning instruction and teaching using a variety of methods. 2.
