to 3.00. This course integrates an understanding of multiculturalism with principles of democratic education. Historical, sociological, cultural, political, philosophical, and pedagogical foundations of multiculturalism are explored and related to issues of pedagogy in a pluralistic society. Typically offered Fall Spring Summer. Course Learning Outcomes 1. Develop awareness of issues and concerns related to multicultural education. 2. Develop knowledge of how multiculturalism impacts teachers, schools, classrooms, and society. 3.
