An introduction to components, systems and the enabling technology that communicates with sensors, actuators, and processors that deals with underlying wired and wireless communication in networking. Topics include basics of IoT edge to edge connectivity with wired and wireless protocols. Antenna diversity, spread spectrum communication, frequency hopping, mobile and multiple access communication. Introduction of wireless networking standards, Bluetooth, infrared, GPS, and RFID systems. Typically offered Spring. Prerequisite(s): ECET 30301 FOR LEVEL UG WITH MIN.
