Introduction to computer aided design, classification of CAD operations and stamps, modified nodal admittance matrix inversion, frequency and time-domain analysis of linear circuits, DC iterations and time-domain analysis of nonlinear circuits, and other advanced topics such as model order reduction technique. Permission of department required. Typically offered Spring. Course Learning Outcomes 1. Solve intermediate-level (BS students) or advanced-level (MS students) CAD problems as applied to linear and nonlinear circuits. 2. Solve important engineering problems using intermediate-level (BS students) or advanced-level (MS students) mathematical concepts. 3. Communicate successfully the results of engineering CAD simulations in both oral and written forms of technical communication. 4. Present and publish results of high-quality engineering CAD related R&D (MS students). This learning outcome can be assessed at a future time, e.g. speaking to potential thesis advisers or potential employers. View Class Schedule
