(ME 53200). This course is directed toward the graduate student who has never had a statistics course or whose last statistics course was taken some time ago and a refresher course is required. The primary purpose of this course is to provide a basic understanding of fundamental probability and statistical principles, their underlying assumptions, and their use in data analysis using real-world engineering problems. The course is aimed primarily to engineering graduate students interested in project management. Prerequisite: Graduate standing and proficiency in Calculus. Typically offered Fall Spring Summer. Course Learning Outcomes 1. Have knowledge of basic statistical algorithms and techniques applied to Engineering problems. 2. Possess abilities to use correctly several statistical tools applied to a real problem. 3.
