Catalog description

This course focuses on the impact of robots in contemporary society and explores the various complexities involved in their interaction with humans. The course will delve into fundamental concepts, including robot functionality, design principles and performance assessment. Additionally, it will analyze diverse communication modalities such as verbal and nonverbal modes, emotional processing capabilities. Furthermore, the ethical considerations surrounding present-day robot applications as well as anticipated implications within our future society will also be examined. Prerequisite(s): CS 27500 FOR LEVEL UG WITH MIN. GRADE OF C- Course Learning Outcomes 1. Apply statistical approaches and methodologies to understand how humans perceive robots. 2. Assess the current challenges within the field of Human Robot Interaction and propose evaluation methods for potential solutions using AI techniques. 3.
