Catalog description

An operating system manages all of the hardware and software resources of a computer. This course provides an introduction to the basic concepts and terminology of operating systems. Topics will include multiprogramming, CPU scheduling, memory management, file systems, concurrent processes, multiprocessors, security, and network operating systems. Typically offered Spring. Prerequisite(s): CS 27500 FOR LEVEL UG WITH MIN. GRADE OF C- AND CS 22300 FOR LEVEL UG WITH MIN. GRADE OF C- View Class Schedule
