Catalog description

Study of the two branches of criminal law: procedural and substantive law. The course focuses on the application of substantive criminal law in relation to crimes against people, persons, habitation, property, and public order. Elements of criminal liability, defenses to criminal liability, the doctrine of complicity, and inchoate crimes are also examined in the course. Typically offered Fall Spring Summer. Prerequisite(s): CRJU 15000 FOR LEVEL UG WITH MIN. GRADE OF D Course Learning Outcomes 1. Identify the laws that relate to different criminal activities in the U.S. 2.
